Yoga and Holistic Practices

for Trauma Survivors

Who We Are

Katie’s passion for creating trauma programs grew out of her own healing journey. Katie thinks one of the most important things that she can do as a teacher is to let her students know that what they have to say and who they are matters. She wholeheartedly believes that every human, regardless of their circumstances, deserves the opportunity to learn to express themselves, communicate their thoughts and feelings, and take up space!

Kelly became a trauma-informed yoga instructor to not only help herself but to have a trauma-informed yoga studio and space for the community. Kelly works diligently to bridge the gap between mental health and holistic approaches. Kelly’s passion for yoga has been enhanced by the healing experience she has obtained from the practice. She is passionate and determined to educate others on holistic paths to healing from trauma.

Why is it important to be trauma-informed?

  • Regulate your nervous system, with an understanding of how your nervous system responds to stress and how to manage it effectively, allowing you to experience peace and joy.

  • Create freedom of movement and breath not only for optimal physical health, but for the ability to navigate life’s various paths. Develop personal autonomy and the capacity to pursue different opportunities in life without undue limitations or barriers.

  • Be an effective communicator and know and understand how to express your thoughts, ideas, and needs clearly and persuasively. Sharpen your listening skills to engage with others constructively.

Businesses that are trauma-informed and focus on mental health are often more successful, particularly in the long term, because they create environments that foster trust, safety, and well-being, which are essential for both employees and clients.

A few reasons why such businesses can thrive:

  • Increased Employee Retention and Satisfaction

  •  Enhanced Client Trust and Loyalty

  • Improved Productivity and Innovation

  • Positive Brand Reputation

  • Alignment with Social Trends
